Just wondering if anyone can confirm that the pennies in the penny concept set (1/2 oz proof square kook and 2 x pennies) are original pennies and not remints? I am asking as the 1933 penny in my set is amazingly clean with only some very light surface scratching which may make it worth more than the KOOK :D

    Thanks.

Send a pic :) I think they are polished for the set though ? Don't believe them to be re-mints either. Could be a nice score.

Just took it out of the capsule to take a closer look and it has 2 small dents in the rim so I think you are right it is a circulated and cleaned coin, oh well thought I might have had a winner on that one
    :(

    Cheers.

Still send a pic though. Depending on condition a few rim knocks may not hurt too bad. It will take UNC out but could have great detail and eye appeal. Still could pull a few dollars.

However 33 was an over date year and these are a little rarer. Get a good pic of the date in particular the last "3" you may be even luckier ?

    Hi All
i can clarify that the penny concept set , THE PENNY in the set is a original, but has been polished which means "NO VALUE", only looks nice. they would not be uncirculated at best fine - very fine
i know the set well as we sold them when they where released.

    hope this helps
