I have 2 of these 2000 frosted pandas and I noticed that one has almost white like frosty finished while the other is less frosty and more "polished" like finished.

Are there 2 variety for the frosty 2000 Panda?

This is actually a really interesting point about the immaturity of the Chinese coin market.

Differences in minor things like frosting level are not really "perceived" by the Chinese coin market *yet*. Even something huge like large date/small date isn't truly appreciated by the entire marketplace. Some collectors will look at you and just say that it's the same year, so it doesn't matter.

As the market matures, these differences will be appreciated and those who have these different coins will be able to profit. But we are talking many years here.

So I guess the bottom line is that if you are on the lookout for these variations, you'll have to be patient before you can sell them at the level you think they are worth.

    It's definitely not the lighting.

*Both coins swapped position to show that its not the effect of the lighting.
