Interesting sale indeed, considering the 1oz dragons are already fetching 100-120, proof version should go for a least double IMO.

If this 1oz proof dragon cleared $500+ I wouldnt be surprised at all. When you think a coloured Kangaroo went for $800 and a 2007 Kangaroo went for $300, a proof dragon with a tiny 2,500 mintage should rocket.

Matthew, i am not sure if the coloured Roo was pushed by the seller with a second account.
Maybe ill test the real auctionprice ( 100% no pushing ) this week with an 2002 coloured roo
    on feebay australia.

The 2000 Dragon series is a Chinese numismatic dream come true. I sadly missed out on the crown jewel 1kg version as I think these coins are a major collectible of the future. Around $200 for the 1ozt version is a bargain IMHO.

    Sounds fair.

I reckon 3.5 to 4x spot is fair value for a bullion Dragon - that's $140-$160. They were selling for $100 in coin shops last year when spot was in the $20s.

APMEX ask $135 USD for a bullion Dragon, and they're not as popular in the US as here.
