    Hi guys,
I picked up 1/2oz 2000 proof nugget, and just realised the reverse is of the 2001 version (but it has 2000 written on it).
Is this right? The dealer said that it's supposed to be part of a coin set.
Any experts, please shed some light.

    Many thanks!

Yep, proof and bullion designs were recycled like that.

Thanks GP, pheww i thought i picked up a 'copy'.
Btw would you pay spot +5% for proof coin without box (bullion price)?
And if you can choose a mint/BU bullion coin and a fair condition proof with some scratches for the same price, which one would you pick?
Last question, is there a way to get rid of scratches in proof coins?
    Cheers!

Same also for the silver kooks - proof design of one year was used for the bullions the following year

Proof for 5% over - yes

If the same price, I would take the undamaged coin - a scratched proof is just bullion.

Scratched gold is physical damage - there's no removing it.

5% is very good for 1/2 oz gold
