If only I didn't spend 250+ BTC (which I paid $10 each for in January) on items which are long gone by now.

I meant I tried to swap either cash or silver for BTC - no takers for either.

    My mistake.

I'd actually noted your thread in the buy/sell forum, and bookmarked it, as it was of interest to me, meaning to get back to you over the coming couple of days about it (I don't have much in the way of BTC just at the moment).

Sorry to see you had no takers & withdrawn :(

I did a 1kg PM bar for BTC deal today, but thats the only offer I got.

Depending on how the BTC price performs over the next few days the offer may come back on the table, I took a lot of profit off the table at $229 AUD just now...hope I don't regret that tommorrow morning (probably will).

This is the trade volume on MtGox USD right now.

Quite a bit of resistance at US$250 and on the way to US$300.
But look at that buying volume at the $190 level! This is where we were yesterday...

    Your thoughts prospector?
Looks like you are expecting a bit of a slow down maybe?
    We'll see!

But when I see the growing queue at MtGox and the number of people waiting on the sidelines to buy the dip...we'll see!

The market depth shifted majorly towards late afternoon, and almost looked like it was nearing 1:1 for a while, which is why I took a heap of profit out.

But now that the USA is waking up it seems to be gearing back towards buying again, I'm starting to think it will be over $250 in the morning!

I should know better than to sell before the US punters wake up!

    250. OK, so that was $50 in one day.

I started paying attention when it was in the teens and my neck beard was at it's most voluminous
but at that time it required sending western union to some dude overseas and had alot of faith required so I never did..

Still is fun to be had now, when people read this in another 6 months and it's at 5k, no excuse for hindsight then.
