I am relatively new to collecting. I have the 1999 --> 2010 1oz Lunar set Series I. I want to get Series II. I have a 2011 Rabbit and 2012 Dragon. I heard the other day that Series Two Silver 1oz started in 2008, is this correct? If so, I would like to buy Series II 3 x 2008, 3 x 2009 3 x 2010, 2 x 2011. This totals 11 coins. I would also like to buy intact 20 coin rolls of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 1oz Silver Lunar coins from Perth Mint. Please reply with information and prices if you can help. Thanks in advance. Hi Ayabird, yes series 2 started in 2008 with the mouse (rat). You shouldn't have too much trouble getting the Mouse and Rabbit(2011), but the Tiger(2010) and Ox(2009) are getting harder to find for a reasonable price. If you really want to have the collection I would recommend getting them sooner rather than later as I can only see premiums going up. I think a price guide has been posted elsewhere but from memory it went something like this: Mouse- $40 Ox-$70-80 Tiger-$70-80 Rabbit-$45-50 Dragon-$60-70
Series 2 started in 2008: 2008 Mouse - 42 each 2009 Ox - 72 2010 Tiger - 67 2011 Rabbit - 45 2012 Dragon - 58 What I have listed above is my opinion on what they are selling for at the moment. If you wait you may pick them up for less. If you just want to buy them now that's about what they will be give or take a dollar or two per coin. Lunars come up regularly in buy sell section so keep your eye out for them and you should be able to pick up what you want at a decent price. EDIT - beaten to it but our prices are pretty close so that's a good sign.
