Does/did The United States Mint mint 1oz silver buffalo coins? I can't seem to find any on their website, apart from a 2001 commemorative proof coin. Maybe this is it. I was under the assumption that they did, but after looking around it seems to me that all of the silver buffalo coins around are in fact just rounds? I like the look of the gold buffalo coin, and thought they made a silver coin the same. Which is what I am after as the gold one is a bit pricey for my wallet right now. Do they mint a silver version? Or did they only ever produce this coin in silver once as a commemorative silver proof? Thanks
Bordsilver bought a pair of cufflink made from 5cent us coin that has a buffalo on it. Maybe they do exist? Send him a pm if you want some pic.
The silver buffalo is a round produced by a private mint. The gold version is a coin produced by the US Mint. Currently there no silver buffalo coins minted by the US Mint (aside from commutative you mentioned). Goldstackers have their own version http://www.goldstackers.com.au/store/intrinsic-tender-2014-1-xag-buffalo-silver-round.html nice price
