Hi, I have a 1kg Silver Koala from the Perth Mint, but the capsule is shatter! Does anyone know where to source a replacement?

Slight deviation on topic, does anyone who has a 1Kg Kook know whether the capsule halves - when joined, are meant to have a slight "gap" - as if it's not fully closed (but it is because it won't close any further)?

To try and explain a bit further - the "lid" doesn't seem to have long enough sides to properly match the "base", therefore creating a small indent at the bottom (or have I confused everyone)?

Wouldn't that tone the coin? I have definitely seen them come in fully enclosed capsules

Well, Look like you have to Use Chip for this one.

Chip is in Perth. Perth Mint is his favourite play ground. :D

    How many are you after?

I was told by the mint staffs that the replacement capsules, will be phase out from sales soon.
I dont know why. I reckon too much hassle for carrying the products.
I order some it already took four weeks and not in yet.

I think just the newer ones have the small gap, it is still overlapped and air tight so no wont tone the coin just gives you a couple of mm to get your nails in to open the capsule.

That's what I'm seeing... but on a 1992 Kook 1Kg (which isn't recent, obviously). It most certainly is tight though, so no air can get in.
