Hi- I have the silver kookaburra coins from 1991 to 2007; however, they were given to me in a Littleton coin album and were not air tight sealed and as a result are tarnished (some worse than others). I am interested in possibly selling them depeninding on what price they could fetch even though some are not perfectly shiny. On ebay I see some of the coins in perfect, sealed condition selling for upwards of $80-100- would it be fair to think I could get 1/2 that value for my coins? I have read it is best to not clean and leave them as is- is this true or should I try to clean them? Thanks!
Cleaning coins can devalue them. Some like toning on their coins. Wouldn't worry about the tarnishing - you still have a highly desirable numismatic with a nice premium.
