What is the difference with the 1oz kooks in the square capsules to the ones that come in the pouch with a certificate, or are they the same but vary based on the years ? Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
Bullion vs Proofs - see the bottom of this thread: http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-59587-old-silver-kooks.html
Unless I have understood wrong the kooks in the square capsules early kooks and the ones in the box early kooks are the same ? Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
no the ones in the capsules are unc or standard (frosted background and shiny kook) and the ones in boxes and wallets with cert are proofs (shiny background, frosted kook, limited mintages) there are also some in wallets that are unc as well but with privy marks
I have some of the early coins in square capsules but some of the early coins in display box with cert but do you think it would hurt the value (trying to prove what type i have for when re-selling) if i put them in round capsules for better storage? Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
Leave them as it is. The older Kooks are lacquered, shouldn't have any problems. The might tarnished more or less that doesn't matter. If they worry you too much, put them in a 2x2 container for the square capsules. Put the loose capsules in an Airtite tubes. If you want to handle them then it is best in the capsules. Chip
I was leaning towards putting them all in capsules for easier storage and handling. Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
