Here is an update to the series. It is continuing. Stoked. There are only 200 Minted of the 1st in the series.
From someone close to the project in China:
"There are 18 Lohans so it's expected to have 17 other Lohans followed by Deer rider, I know this medal's designer and owner, he will make the second one in this year if everything is in control, and he is going to make 3~4 pieces every year starting from 2016..."

As a side, interesting reason why these are not so popular in China:
"Lohan Series - Deer riding has good design, but in Chinese culture and buddha culture, Lohans are "hit men" of Buddhas, so we chinese don't like Lohans so much, although we respect Lohans as they are on Buddha's side."

    Nice looking design...good video.

Also, thanks for all the info.

That's quite interesting being that Buddhism is supposed to be a philosophy rooted in peace (from what i understand of it).

You mean like a warrior of goodness who righteously kills?

But don't all warriors who kill plenty of people believe they are killing in the name of good and righteousness just like virtually all leaders of all countries believe when they order those under them to kill and murder that this is good and righteous killing? Similarly, Americans are seen just as much as "terrorists" by many people in countries the U.S. attacks and destabilizes as many American's see those we attack. After all, propaganda goes a much, much longer way when they can demonize people of brown skin who happen to hold different religious views as us and who want the resources of their own lands as much as the greedy elites in the U.S. wants those resources. But I digress.

I'm not saying that maybe there isn't an objective truth, but humans are so skilled at rationalizing any sort of egregious behavior that it makes it hard work to get to the objective truth of matters like those that I've raised.

Buddhism has many rules. One of the rules is no killing even on animal. Lohan is warrior to protect the religious. They do not means for killing. This is the different.

Regarding the Lohans: Referring to them as "hit man" of Buddhas is totally WRONG. It will take pages and pages to tell the story/explain the fact about Lohans, so I will just make it short.

Lohans: According to Buddhism books, Lohans are 'warriors/killers' that got converted/enlightened by Buddhas and eventually follow Buddhas teaching. They are commoner like us, who did a lot of killing/bad/evil things but they decided to stop, turn around and do all the good deeds, follow the teaching and practice Buddhism. They are lessons/examples to show/prove to us that no matter how bad our actions are, we all can be enlightened, we all can attain higher state of enlightenment, just like those Lohans did. The 18 Lohans represent 18 common 'bad deeds/actions that we commonly do.

Also, Lohans is one of the many enlightenment levels which a Buddhist can attain (have to go through before reaching the state of enlightenment called Buddhas).

I hope this will clear out some perceptions about Lohans.

Awesome insights SA4H. This is very helpful insights. I think my friend from China needs to be corrected. Now that I know the true story, it makes this series even more compelling for me. Thanks for sharing.

Ebay always higher price due to the ebay fee.

Generally we will sell regular customer and webpage. Ebay just another channel to display and sell stuff. No wise to buy from ebay if you know me and Bob.

Just text us will do ;)

Got my Lohan (in Ag) in today. NGC 69.

    Wow, very cool!

Pleasantly surprised at the stacked ultra-high relief. Much more prominent in person.

Glad to have it in the collection!

The brass version is definitely on my wish list.
