Hi mates, after reading up on the "Golden Ratio"(also called the golden number), i came up with an idea to a 12 step 'stacking levels' plan. The golden ratio / number is 1.618 and is used allot in mats. and art .... see wikipedia for more on it. Here's the 12 Steps every stacker can use to reach that magical 1000 oz's I'm going to round it of to the nearest oz. Stacking Level 1= 5.027oz (5oz) Stacking Level 2= 8.134oz (8oz) Stacking Level 3= 13.160oz (13oz) Stacking Level 4= 21.293oz (21oz) Stacking Level 5= 34.453oz (34oz) Stacking Level 6= 55.744oz (56oz) Stacking Level 7= 90.194oz (90oz) Stacking Level 8= 145.935oz (146oz) Stacking Level 9= 236.122oz (236oz) Stacking Level 10= 382.046oz (382oz) Stacking Level 11= 618.150oz (618oz) Stacking Level 12= 1000.167oz (1000oz) and for the heavy stackers here, can go up to 15 Levels Level 13= 1618oz ( the Golden Ratio / Number ) Level 14= 2618oz Level 15= 4237 oz ..... and so on and on and on ... From Level 12 to 13 is going to take me a very lomg time
actually, I like that idea, incremental yet in some way exponential. The small steps encourage you to keep going until you reach a level of relative comfort, by then you're not so concerned about the daily machinations of the market as you've had experience and then you continue to stack with confidence. thanks au 79
No basic Concept is wrong - you accumulating small amounts early on when price is low - then you accumulating bigger and bigger lots as it get more expensive. Sort of like dollar cost averaging in reverse - slowly increasing your base cost
I love the concept !! - however in this bull market and uncertainty, i reckon when you have some cash to spare for PMs to not wait more than 3 days and just buy it
Thanx mate, the same concept can be use by 'gold stackers' changing the 'oz' to gram. The stacker will ridge level 12 with 1000 gram = 1kg. Stacking Level 1= 5.027gr (5gr) Stacking Level 2= 8.134gr (8gr) Stacking Level 3= 13.160gr (13gr) Stacking Level 4= 21.293gr (21gr) Stacking Level 5= 34.453gr (34gr) Stacking Level 6= 55.744gr (56gr) Stacking Level 7= 90.194gr (90gr) Stacking Level 8= 145.935gr (146gr) Stacking Level 9= 236.122gr (236gr) Stacking Level 10= 382.046gr (382gr) Stacking Level 11= 618.150gr (618gr) Stacking Level 12= 1000.167gr (1000gr) A mate who stack both metals can now see where he stands on both metal levels ... something like a personal code like: Au.L11 / Ag.L8 Just a thought
Thats a big jump from Level 11 to Level 12...like being put back to Level 1 trying to get to level 10 again (382 Oz)....!
AU79 I like your system of rating Silver Stackers. It certainly gives a target for stackers to aim for especially for those that have just started. I think that stackers can be divided into the small stackers who stack in small amounts from week to week and month by month. Then there are the big stackers who have had large savings in fiat and have converted into silver. Also a group that have SMSF and they too in many cases have silver and gold in large amounts. They are all wise stackers. Now what about the master stacker. That is the one that has stacked silver at prices below the spot price at time of purchase. Eg Of Master Stacker spot $35oz 1/10 kook $42 100 kooks $39 He buys 100 for $3900. Then sells 10 lots 10kooks for $4200 Buys 100 kooks for $3900 - $300 profit from first sale _= $3600 Repeat again and again. After 4 lots of 100 You have now bought 100 kooks for $2700. Stack and start again. Now what happens if silver drops $3oz. You sell what you have for Cost Price and as kooks are a premium price you should not loose or if you do only a little. Now you too can be a rich stacker instead of a poor stacker. I won't put myself in Ask yourself Is this what the traders do? All you need is $4000 and you too can be a master stacker. There are probably quit a few stackers on this site who do something like this but I doubt that they will give too much away as they are on a winner. I am not yet in the Master Class yet but I'm going to give it a shot and I'll see what happens. Regards Errol43
errol43, The silver price dipped last week, did the market price dip? No, if anything it rose. It's easy in theory, hard in practice.
