The Perth Stackers held their 10oz silver bar poll at our meeting on 16 November 2013 The parameters were 10oz bars that were CURRENTLY available from retail outlets in AUSTRALIA. Otherwise the list would have been too long. 23 items were in the running, including a 10oz Kookaburra and 10oz bullet. It wasn't meant to a bar Vs Coin duel and the reason for including a 10oz coin was because the pricing was in-line with some of the bars and would probably form part of most stackers considerations when next purchasing 10oz of AG Thank you to Perth Bullion (loan of 8 bars), SBA (2 bars), ABC, Bullion Club, Ainslie, Goldtrex, Chip, LovingtheSilver and Kam-L, for the commitment of loaning us bars. Appreciated guys Also a big thank you to all the Perth Stackers for diligently completing their ballots and our Auditor for tallying up the numbers. Enjoy guys
Thanks Alor. Best to see them in person, if you can but we'll try our best for our fellow stackers outside Perth
Ooooo, Can I have a peep Hamster? 16 x of them Wow!!! never get a chance to see them all so close. I will definitely be there first. to see. Don't worry I will save you some hot foods. Yummy. The last meeting one were so good. We do have an excellent caterer there, I mean Chef and service there. Come to the meeting. Meet all the Perth local stackers.
Thanks Chip. Yeah, we do have great food at our meetings Organised courtesy of, yours truly. Back to the bars. I've got a few people getting back to me , so hopefully we can get closer to that full complement of 23 bars on display, on the day Plan is to share the results of the poll with the rest of the Silver stackers community. lets see how we go and we'll keep you all posted.
Outstanding bars updated. List of what will be available on display can be seen on the following link. http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-46841-10oz-silver-bars-on-display-at-the-perth-meeting.html If we've missed a bar or two that is available through an Australian retailer, please let us know.
i have 10oz dragons but am here in the usa, i'd be happy to sell one, cant do the loan thing way over here
We've got all 23 bars now for our display . There was a 24th but further investigations revealed operations are run out of NZ. Nothing wrong with NZ but it doesn't fall into the criteria of Australian retailers. Well IMHO anyway.
If its any good then we can claim it as our own. If its not, well then its from NZ and nothing to do with us!
 Brilliant Andy28. Kind of like Russel Crowe Seriously, the bar is American but the only retailer I can find (on-line) in Australia retailing them appear to run their operations out on NZ. Well when I phone them, it's Kiwi accents and all e-mails from staff end in .co.nz. Admittedly, it's not like I've done an ASIC company search on them and gone full ball on the research, but I think I have enough to make a decision.
Agree with you there Chip All 23 bars are in hand and it's going to be a very interesting poll. Some seriously good looking bars in the bunch
with 20% odd premiums to the physical price, I say, let the mugs pay for it. There will always be a future price at least, the wholesale price. To take a 20% whack, wow this is worse that the property market, although it is on par with the private equity market (hedge fund) with their 2 and 20 fees. A fool and their money are always parted though, just seems the movie changes depending on the crowd.
Very interesting results, thanks for posting them! How many people voted? I wonder how well a 10oz Perth Mint Lunar would have done...
20 voters Good question? We were reluctant to put it in the mix. We wanted to understate the coin Vs bar contest. Hence, why we went for the "more" benign Kookaburra. BTW, there were 4 voters who gave the coin 1/23 (it's lowest score). Even with that, it still came out on top. I Guess stackers either love stacking them or hate 'em :s You're welcome Jislizard, anytime
