I have read various people from time to time stating that 10oz bars are the best type of silver to buy for various reasons. I am slowly dipping my toes back in to the silver market at current prices, and have just returned home from the Perth Mint - only silver item out of stock...10oz's! I booked some at today's price, but I have been told they will be in "maybe" by the end of next week. Just found that interesting, others might not. Plenty of 1kg's though, just no 10's.
Personally: 100g for playing with and fondling. 10oz for holding nicely in your hand and showing off. 1kg for your "anti-stack-theft" device.
There was a decent line down there yesterday lunchtime. I too was after 10 ozzes but walked away with two 20s instead.
They have them from time to time, along with 1/2oz cast golds. Only when they do a buy-back though, they don't make them anymore (as we all know) so you just have to get lucky.
10 oz bars are nice, but they're as big as I want to go. The smaller the better, although I like the 1 kg Kookaburras a lot. They're just not as liquid as smaller coins and bars.
just got a 10 oz year of the snake coin!!! as far as the 10 oz bars go they are great and yeah my bullion dealer says people always want 10 oz and 1 kilo barsl
