I am seeking one for my unborn daughter who will be born in the year of the dragon.

Anyone know if they are still available?

Would you like an adopted son born in 1988? You can give me my belated 10kg dragon any time this week. K Thanks!

Reminds me - I did check, these were also subject to allocation. Apparently only 200 are being minted now, not 500.

Oversubscribed, but production effort being redirected elsewhere - otherwise the labour spent creating these would be at the expense of regular bullion coin production. Only so many skilled workers in the mint to go around.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to divert valuable human resources away from regular production to work on some ridiculously huge product that has extremely minimal demand, would you?

If I had to chose 1 dragon coin it would be this one. 200 mintage is extremely low. In a year you'd have the premium you paid for the coin back forever more and then some. ... alot some. $$

As far as I know every one that was allocated to Australia is sold. Not many stayed here.
