I'm guessing that your name is Daniel Wheeler and you were trying to upload them from your desktop?

You'll certainly find some interest if you want to sell some on here. (especially the silver) :)

It'd be worth getting an appraisal from a local coin club, dealer or at one of the regular ANDA coin shows. You might have something rare or collectible.

Have a look on their website for the next event http://www.anda.com.au/index.asp, or to find a local dealer.

If i was you i'd get half a dozen prices from dealers. I'd definately go to The Rare Coin Company for one of them. Depending on the condition, it's north of $15000 for the 1930 Penny alone. Hard to tell what grading it would get from your pic. Dont try and clean it either. Take the book of Pennies and get them valued then make a decision. You may want to keep the 1930 a bit longer.

Many of the other dates pop up on coin sites so you have a brilliant set there.

You could 'invest' some time and list the mint years on the pennies & shillings.

And then we will let you know if some are rarer.

A very fine 1930 Penny was worth $65,000 in 2010 according to the company i mentioned earlier.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high. Where is the 1930 ? From what I see it is a 1924 in its place ? Also a lot of these do look cleaned so if that is the case the value falls to almost zero unless they are super rare which it doesn't appear to be. The balance of coins in the tin look dirty and signs of verdigris appearing. This will not only ruin coins it will contaminate the rest of the copper coins.

The album also has a UK Penny in place so not sure why the significance of that coin ? All in all I would think somewhere around $20 a Kilo for your 1/2 and 1 pennies. Is about the going rate. Further pictures may help but at this stage nothing is jumping out from what you have shown. Please post up more shots and we can give you some more ideas.

Penny sets with 25 and 46 are going for $280 - 350 or so on ebay at the moment. i know because i have been looking for one (the right one) for ages. no key dates about $80. even if you stuck a 1930 in, you would only get its worth and perhaps $100 more for the set in that condition. so you may be better off selling the best coins individually. Im sure you dad would like to get as much out of his collection as possible. And that at least offers him a better chance.

if you have a day and the room set them all out in years then look for variety's. an VF-EF no dot or dot above or double dot 1920 is worth more than 5 complete sets to give a ball park figure. 1915h etc. any of the early Penny's with 8 pearls are worth a bomb. To the right buyer of course. Cleaned, i dont know.

Gumtree is a good place to sell and their are dozens of wanted ads for coins on it. but i totally agree with the above, The stuff in the bucket.. you would be lucky to get spot price for them. $25 kg. its still pretty good money, but before you scrap any, check them out first.

The silver coins you can sell here for a fair price faster than just about any place i know.

The box in the pic is one of four, most of the other coins I have are bagged in specific
Dates and in better condition, I will try to get more pics up.

For your reference I could be interested in your Pennies and 1/2 Pennies possibly.
