Was watching GP's vid on 10 kg snake mega coin, With a max mintage of 200 made to order coins. I am thinking that when the rooster comes around I might swap some of my core stack bars for one. So what's the opinion out there, Over valued, non liquid( was not thinking of selling it) Hard to store, ect, ect But imaging having a full set. Wow
The premium is really high on these - that said, based on the clients I've sold 10kg coins to, I think they're the sort of item that you just buy and put away forever as a "hero piece". So if you're a Year of the Rooster, shout yourself one and stick it on display in the study.
Thats the perfect description 'hero coin' Only problems with these coins I see are liquidity, and recouping the premium in the future, but who knows what will happen
Wonder if NGC could grade them. And I thought their 5oz cases were big. Was thinking of a set but then the brain kicked in and thought 120 kg for the set. Will have to keep stacking for that number.
Imagine the NGC slab for a 10 kilo! Ha!! I agree with Daniel, the liquidity may be a problem at this time. Who knows what the future will bring though. 15 years from now you may run across some wealthy collector who wants to accumulate a full set of 10 kilo coins and the collector is willing to pay a very high premium. I say, if you desire it, go for it. If you are one of the majority of people who buys coins not for it's silver value exclusively, then it's probably worth it to you to buy it. If someone looks at coins just as they look at a blob (common non-denom random bullion bars) - for the silver value only, then it's probably not as good a way to spend your money as you can get blobs at much lower premium. .
I would love to have 10kg tiger coin. If you buy it, please share some pictures. 1 oz. coin beside won't be even seen.
