Anyone have any rough ideas as to what $10 .925 state series coins are worth?

Last time I sold some it was for about $18 at a silver stackers auction.

They were going for about $25 on eBay at one time but spot was mid thirties at the time.

I like the $10 state coins, they just really appeal to me for some reason.

    hi

    lets do the sums.

spot price is around $17.40 per coin, if you can flip the coin for $18AUD each, you can make 0.60c per coin

    0.60c x 40 coins = $24AUD

for a investment of $696AUD you will make $24AUD...> 3.45% gain

the question is how much time you need to flip the coins, and what do you think your hourly rate of pay is?

this will help you work out if this is worth your trouble or not

at the end you will also need to work out your overall profit.

you need to calculate the time needed to pick up items , send items and also petrol money needed. this will give you an real idea what your overall profit is.

for me i think $24 is not bad minus all the work and time to find a sale i still can get roughly $18 in hand. A Profit is better then a LOSS :)

remember a fast sale is better then no sale

    hope this helps

    James

I like them too. I regard them as my Insurance coins...Always worth $10 in fiat currency.

I like the bird series more than the state ones. All proof or uncirculated.

    My favorite is the eagle.

they are worth about $1 over spot on these forums similar to the 1966 50's. You will pay GST if you buy from a dealer, so another $2 odd bucks

The endangered species and the birdies as Errol points out are fetching a lot more, I sold some .59 birds for and some piedforts recently, went like hot cakes.
