Was mass spot-bidding some larger denominations of Panama Balboa last night on eBay. Woke to find one of my bids successful - only to discover that the 1978 ten Balboa was also minted in nickel, which is near-certainly what I bought. Groan. Nickel price $15 per kilo, that'll learn me. Does anyone know if these are worth any more than their face value ($10, the balboa is pegged to the US dollar)? Mintage of the nickel was apparently 300,000. http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces36354.mobile.html#lien_infos_techniques
