Numismatic value relies on both supply and demand. Low mintage does not automatically mean that the numismatic value will be high. For example, take a look at all the shitty Perth Mint 5000 mintage coins selling at barely above spot nowadays.
What is with the Bavarian touch to the coin anyway... is it for the Bavarian Illuminati or something? I just can't figure out why they chose to put a Bavarian lion on this coin. They must have a reason though the reason is not on the Perth mint blog. Weird.
The "Lion of Bavaria" is a Lion Statue positioned in the German city of Munich. My understanding is the lion privy mintage was produced with the large majority intended for Germany. The bavarian lion statue being in Germany, Munich, I'm assuming that may have something to do with it being used. Temples in China often had 2 lions erected at the entrance to the temple. It is thought to represent mystical protective powers, giving it relevance to the lunar
