Hi everyone, I managed to score a 1 kg dragon but when I checked out the queen side there is a decent sized copper spot (about the size 1 mm in diameter). It is sizable enough to wonder how it got through QC. I do not want to give it up as I had to work hard to get this one, but I feel this blemish has reduced it's value. So the question is? What options have I got? Can the mint do anything about it? Is it worth contacting them, I do not suppose they would like it to be out in the wild bringing down their reputation for quality? TIA

If you bought it from the Perth Mint, contact them.
If you bought it from a reseller, contact them.

I think his was a wear mark, as in from friction from the capsule from what I read... I will search for the thread. This one is VERY obviously copper (coloured) and on the neck not cheek

Can the copper mark be gently rubbed off?

Leave Lizzie's gills alone. Give her a neck rub, and fondle her. I have a favorite Lizzie coin I rub all the time, in fact Ive rubbed her that hard, her crown is almost gone. Service and protect your queen as you see fit.

Sooner we get her off the coins (and not replaced by chuckles) the better.
