What do people think of the 1/4 oz coins? Would it be better to buy a 1/4 oz each month and average the cost, or save up for 1oz coins with a smaller premium per oz? The goal is simply to acquire gold. Thoughts?

1/4 has a higher premium but you get that back when you
    Sell.
    They are more liquid.
    Best size, in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of small coins either, but I'll satisfy that craving with big silver ones! So the premium you pay for 1/4 oz is typically recovered when the time comes to sell?

If I had budget for 2 oz gold coins every month I'd buy one 1 oz coin for sure.
    SO far I'm buying 1/4 and 1/10 fractionals ...
premiums? I get the premiums back whenever I sell the coins

I prefer to buy every month step by step then going big once in a while ...

Nothing wrong with 1/4's ! I mostly purchase 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, coins. When gold sky rockets which it will, these coins will be much easier to sell on come the time.

Yes, sovereigns are the other option at that price range. They seem a little harder to know what you are buying though. Getting a 1/4 from the Perth Mint in a plastic case seems like a no brainer. How do you know what to buy when it comes to sovereigns? Also, where is the best place to source them? I'm in Brisbane and have purchased other coins from Ainslie's, has anyone else bought sovereigns from them before?

Steve care of http://www.auroraetluna.com/index.php is my preferred supplier but in all honesty, just secure them from reputable sellers.
