Do you try and educate people on stacking

    Hey everyone, I'm new to silver stackers but I'm not new to stacking.
    I'm curious, do any of you actively engage in trying to educate people u meet or know on issues like fiat currency etc? Or have you given up like I have because most people just take you for an idiot?

    Curious to know everyone's opinion

    Haha I hear that! When I see their eyes glazing over and start thinking I'm mental, I immediately think, don't come crying to me when it burns you haha

    No, because it would be akin to trying to "educate" them on religious opinion - and you should expect them to avoid you for good reason thereafter, because you will sound like a patronising idiot, or religious freak.

    I try to educate people about issues with fiat, monetary policy and central banking....

    ...and if the subject comes up of PMs as an alternative I usually only talk about paper PMs.

    I stopped educating people about PMs in late 2011.

    I started to try and share this new found wisdom when I first started stacking.

    That all came to a screeching halt the day I was enlightened by a family member I was trying to educate.
    "That everybody wastes money on hobbies, so if I wanted to waste mine on silver I shouldn't feel bad." :rolleyes:

    Since being enlightened by those words I gave up trying, & now keep my wasteful expenditure on my 'hobbie' :p ... all to myself. :)

    I do a little educating but I plan to create a YouTube channel soon to do some serious educating.

    Because the public never or rarely at best even thinks about precious metals as a form of savings, investment, value I believe that education of the public is very important....even critical.

    Used to.... but its hard to talk to people about PMs without making them sound like a weird pyramid scheme. Like the economy is going to crash and metals will go crazy. This is the REAL currency, what ever the hell that means. That were kinda trying to profit off the end of the world. that the price will rise quite significantly and very quickly. "Any day now :rolleyes: " People that i used to tell aways texted me when the price fell even alittle. They never baught any they just wanted me to feel like a nut job lol... and maybe we are, u never know.... if were right, in their faces. If were wrong, i just liked coin collecting ;)
