Been doing a bit of sniffing today, (no pun on the above intended) Spodumene glows pink under UV light, and the Ann released on 29/04 has a nice pick of a chunk of rock glowing pink under UV light. The MD is also in Canada as we type, something stirring at Mavis as well ?
The more I see, the more I wish I bought more.... Might just readjust a few items on the buy and sell side as PIO is looking very very sweet.

HC has some really good contributors to the threads... they have been doing a lot of digging on the ol-Pioneer Dome drilling back from the 80's from Eldarado right through to Pioneer's Nickel drilling through 05/06 etc.

And yes Spod glows different colors under UV depending on the other mineral breakdown in the rock... green, pinks etc. Looks like Pioneer Dome has both Spodumene/Lepidolite... (spod's way better) will depend on those 13no. outcrops in the presentation... what will they throw-up in these 4000 soil samples!?

DC has a cheeky grin on his face in the report... i bet he knew what they were sitting on...

    Cheers,
    BB

Spod glows a couple of different colours, Green, Purple, Pink... Pink is indicative of Low Iron Spodumene. :)

    ANN: Priority Li Targets CONFIRMED

PRIORITY LITHIUM TARGETS CONFIRMED AT PIONEER DOME
Rock chip assay results of up to 3.94% Li2O
Soil geochemistry program identifies five lithium anomalies
Perth Western Australia, 19 May 2016: Pioneer Resources Limited ("Company" or "Pioneer") (ASX: PIO) is pleased to provide an interim exploration report for its 100%-held Pioneer Dome Project, near Norseman in Western Australia following the receipt of assays for 668 soil samples and 36 rock chip samples. Soil sampling will resume later this week following a halt due to rain.
    First soil geochemistry results targeting lithium show multi-element anomalies with coincident lithium, niobium and rubidium over the PEG006 and PEG009 pegmatites;
Rock Chips from 2 separate outcrops at PEG009 returned high grade lithia (Li2O) values. These included:
    o from PEG009A, lepidolite samples assaying between 1.38% and 3.94% Li2O; and
    o from PEG009B, silicate dominated rocks assaying between 1.17% and 3.84% Li20;
The remaining 3,300 soil sample collections are expected be completed during May 2016 with drilling likely in the September 2016 quarter.

Strap yourselves in boys & girls ;)

Can't see any mention of Spodumene, just Lepidolite. See how it goes anyway, I don't hold PIO yet but good luck to holders... may the cash roll in.

It's lepidolite - plenty more samples to go yet mate - bit of a fizzer though I must admit...

Was waiting to see someone's interpretation of the results either here or on HC.

@southercross - you're comment above was enough for me to jump. got in at 2.4c and out at 6.8c

Thanks to all for the commentary and tips on this one.

    What next???

Have a look at MCT, good zinc deposit plus about to drill for lithium.

I like the chart - looks to have decent blue sky potential. What are the chances they get anywhere near their pre-2012 levels?

Will do some research here. Thanks for the tip.

BGS has crossed my mind today.

It was my first play - getting in at 10.5c and out at 23.5c. Wish I'd held longer, but this may be the time to get back in.

Silver and gold juniors (during early 2000s), uranium, potash, rare earths, graphite ...
And bullshit de jour - lithium, the must have metal for future technology. There's nowhere near enough of it for future needs but amazingly all these jaded junior explorers are just now finding prospects for it by the bucketload.

Company has made a loss every year of the decade
Yet MD paid half a million $ salary package fy15
Stock has been diluted, from 55m to 678m shares. So any original loyal shareholder would need a stock price of 13 x original 20c, just to be even.
Wonder how many more shares to advance towards feasibility and mine, which you're all in for right, because there's a big chance here that this will one day be a profitable mine. Because that's what this is all about.
Cash at Mar quarter, $2 million, most of which recent proceeds from shares and options.

    Sincerely ...

BGS has taken a kicking today - I'm holding, as with PIO - not selling a one yet - sp is recovering, assets are in the ground - it's a no brainer on both stocks for me ;)

Picked up a few more PIO in the low 5's, and I haven't even had a drink yet.

I'm more interested with what happens in Canada and Acra, so I'm still staying with Pio and thinking about topping up when I have some funds!
That's said, I did get a little over xcited with a 3day trading halt and announcement!
    Lesson learnt...
