Being Canadian I can tell you at 76 cents US it's not a great deal on Silver. Luckily I received a cheque from a US client and bought $800 worth of Silver promptly. If I exchange it to CDN the bank takes a little. I asked the teller for US cash and she gave it to me without taking a cut. Walked to the Bank of Nova Scotia to load up on silver and walked out happy.
How do you see things in your country has the strong US $$ thrown you for a loop?

It has made buying things from the USA expensive, I wasn't even aware of how much I was buy from the states until recently.

Some things can wait but you can't put them off indefinitely. I guess I will have to scale back my activities and make do with what I already have until we get some decent exchange rates.

If there are any people who can make do with out it's the Aussies and Kiwis, I have some old Mercedes and you folks can fix anything, the Aus and NZ Benz owner are the most clever.
As for silver, unless I get more US cash I aint buying. Bought 4 x 10oz bars at $164US and 4 x 1oz RCM Coins.

The very early ones are classy for sure. I drive my cars like I stole them and would not do that to the older ones.

To be honest I would never sell it and if I did the price I want you could find one in The US in great shape for the same or less.
Maybe if I did sell it would be around 20k AUS and a case of Coopers... nah make that 2. I would TRADE for silver maybe :D

I find there is a gap. In Canada people want the 1980-90 SL and do not want the 91-00 SL style..

You joke but I have done that before 4000 km + or so. I know where there is a very good 1975 911.

The 80's & later stuff is not worth much here ,you'd actually have problems selling the coupe here for more than $5K :/
Most of the Porsche guys have Merc ML's for everyday wheels
8-10 year old Diesel under $10K
    10-12 year old ML230 diesel $5K , that's what I'll be getting next
