Spiders come. Not bad, but the coin really is completely different from its Crocodile finish. Frost has just edging and a portrait of the Queen. The rest really finish as many investment bars.

I'm interested to find out if the funnel webs are in the same dodgy tubes that the crocs came in. You know the ones with all the space that allowed the coins to rattle around.
    Anyone know?

Just found this video on youtube, watch in 720pHD (not my vid)

What, then, will come up in the finishing next coin? ))

I have a suggestion about changing - Crocodiles looks magnificent, but in fact I encountered that crocodiles and sharks 1/2 oz with a similar finish easily covered by opaque spots in low storage (eg zip-lock bag). One time I even stopped buying Crocodiles for this reason.
Maybe in Perth knew about this problem and decided to bypass it?

Could be, how hard can it be to make bullion that doesn't spot/ milk spot etc, with all the spotty silver bullion around it seems to be hard to do.

The finishes on these seem to be a bit different from each other? Or maybe thats only because of the photos. But they still seem different to the croc?

They are different to the croc,as in my earlier pics, croc is frosted fws is shiny.
My coins seem a bit better than
The ones on the vid posted by Liquid but given i ordered mine on the day of release i may have just got a few first off the press so abit cleaner?

Curious as to whether the tubes on these have all the space in them like the croc tubes did that allows them to rattle around or are they different tubes.

    Anyone bought tubes yet?

    Thanks

All tubes arrived with a piece of wadding in the top to fill up any extra space and stop coins rattling. I have only opened 5 tubes and all goo so far.

I've got 4 tubes and they are the same as the crocs with the space, and they move around.

The salt water croc does seem to be very similar to my great white sharks in finish, perhaps the next 1/2oz coin will be similar to the funnelweb. Does anyone know if it will be another deadly creature or another shark?

If the 1oz are different from year to year but with matching 1/2oz coins, that could be cool. Like crocs/sharks are water beasts so maybe this year: funnelwebs/red belly black snakes?

Not sure what the vid above was all about? these are bullion grade coins no more no less, the maker of the vid thinks they are a premium coin or was expecting perfect coins.
The more vids like this the better for Aussies to be able to buy a 1 ozer with low premium just like the Americans buyASE,sfor such a low premium.

Finally got around to checking out some YouTube vids & comments on these..

I understand that some people aren't thrilled about the hazing or whatever.

    But here's the thing.. It's a low-premium coin!

Only quickly checked one dealer on pricing, but they can be had for the same price as a Philharmonic or Maple. Therefore, one could reasonably expect about the same quality as those. And considering the mintage comparisons, well..

Here's the other part of it..

Understand that one expects acceptable quality, especially for a brand-new coin, regardless of premium. And part of me agrees with them on that.

However: Years/decades down the round, this hazing could potentially produce some awesome toning possibilities. You know, stuff that many people would pay big bucks for??

Perhaps these people complaining are being a bit short-sighted? Who knows.

    Eh, whatever..

Low-premium coin. Perhaps not the best-looking thing. But not many spiders out there. Long-term potential for cool toning.

Though perhaps PM might want to re-consider their process on these? I don't know.

What is low premium? Seems these are not that low, selling for between $25 and $26 CA for singles here and spot in 20.50 CA ish, thats like $5 premium , I haven't bought any bullion for awhile so i don't know what constitutes a low or high premium.
