    Hi Barsenault,

Here is some information on the license involved with commercial imports and exports of fish and wildlife parts from the US Fish and Wildlife Service: http://www.fws.gov/pacific/lawenforcement/importexport.html

We were only made aware of this information recently, when one of the Mother of Pearl Lunar coins was picked up at customs.

    Kind regards,

    Renee

    Hi, Renee,

Thanks a lot for your answer. I had no idea about this. Aussies sure know how to protect your sea shells :)

They are the same as the Opal series.

Hello, I just got it and this coin is stunning!
The real coin in hand looks amazing, much better than stock pictures. I am sure that this is going to be a Perth Mint hit as soon as the real coin comes around.
    I also got an unexpected low COA# 41 :D :D

Our stock has arrived now too, with orders currently being sent out. One of the guys in marketing took this shot this afternoon, it's definitely a beautiful coin to behold in person!

Thank you Renee for the amazing picture.

Indeed I think that many didn't realize yet how beautiful this coin is. I was not so impressed looking at PM stock pictures, but when I opened the box in my hand, I said "wow" 3 times :D :D :D

And I won't be surprised if this coin will soon sell out quickly almost everywhere! :)

    Alex.

very nice coin, each coin appears to have unique Abalone, very mystical - in fact some of the Abalone seem to be looking back at you, what do you think of the font size and style (AUSTRALIA ABALONE SHELL) just so dominant.

I concur. Each coin is very unique. I looked at several and it is difficult to pick a personal favourite.

I got my coin just the other day, not sure what to expect before I opened it! After I did, WOW what a fantastic coin. I've been collecting for a few years now and this is one of the best.
    Well done Perth mint!!

I think this coin is a "sleeper". Once sold out, it is going to go up in price. I see more potential in this coin than the RAM southern sky crux coin for several reasons. Firstly, mintage of this coin (5000) is half that of the crux coin (10,000). Secondly, as I understand it, the crux coin has a printed piece on the reverse - this coin with the shell is more beautiful. And lets not forget the beautiful radiating lines on the obverse which is a first. My money is on this one.

Until now the coin doesn't belong to a series but if it will be a sell out, Perth Mint will issue a second one and creates a series

Same as Southern Sky before - it wasn't offered as first in series and therefore a stand-alone one.
But as it was first in series - the rocket started
