Easily worst of the series. That bug-eyed death stare is really off-putting. IMO CIT missed bigtime on this Berlin release, beyond the Tiffany nothing stands out.
The wolverine and the owl to me was the best so far in the series. The Zeus to me, Is the tops from Perth in a long time and brand new for the antique finish from Perth.
Actually I've always liked the Hedgehog best with his little paws hanging up. The Manul cat is actually a really cute cat, they should have gone Hedgehog with this one instead of the crazed maniac look. In general the concepts and theming and art design seems to be really lost on these CIT guys nowadays.
Never can imagine what it was when I first saw it.... Definitely could not recognise it as a cat with his green eyes.
The cat would be more recognisable if it is slightly smaller and include the ears in the coin, like the wolverine. Now is like seeing a person without eye bows... Weird looking coin.
Anyone knows where to get this? When will this available?? Now that I know this is a cat, I kind of like this.
Manul is a really attractive animal. Couldn't tell that's even in the cat family from the coin. As said above, back out a little so you can see the ears and calm down the eyes. My big let down from the CIT Berlin release was the Nano...nano chip looks like a page out of my 7th grade science book. Much better is the appealing imagery for the Sistine Chapel nano coin. Maybe CIT should outsource their design to the guys that made that, the pearl shell hologram and the predator/prey..Power Coin I think?
That thing is a piece of dog poop. I have the Argli too. It is stunning. I mean really, they could have done something sooooo much better. The green eyes are spooky. Simply horrible.
i donot know how to post a picture here, but if you look at the coin on cit website, the pic where the coin is laying down, not standing up, looks a lot better, does looks like a cat, i will get one for my set, maybe i can get it cheaper this year.
