ohwell, I bet those dealers that sold at spot when spot was $49, were afterwards happier than the buying side that initially happily humped because of there spotprice purchase, so selling at spot is not some sole criterium to judge.
Was the price you quoted including VAT? Spot Price + 20% VAT? Here in Australia its coin price + 0% VAT (GST) [bullion only]. 12 GBP = 22 AUD With or without GST you got yourself a good deal
Buy silver in the UK is not as wide spread as it is in OZ or US. I bet you got silver coin shops all over. In all my years (34), Im yet to pass a single one. lol The dealer probably thought it was his lucky day. Anyway good find optimist.
It's the only coin shop I've ever come across or even been in, I've looked on-line and there are some others downsouth but no others round here. I've picked up a fair bit on eBay but bargains there are far and few between, but you do get them from time to time.
I dont tell the whole world where I get my cheap silver. Oh! Not the nasty one. I have a few dealers occasional gives me good deals. Have to be quick cos he need $$$ to turn over his stocks. Shh. It is up for people to believe. The least the better.
Well whatever the premium was in that X mas shopping coin shop, the Newyears spot price drop just made it irrelevant, OOPS!
Great find on the silver. Sadly this site can be a little unwelcoming sometimes, but it goes with the territory. Me, myself I would have kept the location of the shop very secret for future buys.
I'm all about sharing me Gary, I'm a big believer in what go's around comes around good karma and all that. I see most of the folks on here seem to be in Aus or the USA, And if they want to get a internatinal flight over to Liverpool for a few ounces of Silver or the odd Soverign your more than welcome, I'll even take you for a pint and show you's the shop myself.
Keep in mind there are many lurkers that read but do not sign up - possibly ten times as many as actual signed up members. Look at the bottom of the home page and you'll see the number of members online and the number of guests online. One of those lurkers just might be located in the same town you are
