What's all of your individual reasoning why you are stacking silver bullion, etc?

    In a word, Family!

I am 100% determined that they will survive what i believe is to come, and I will prepare for that.

Is stack because I want to increase my wealth within a 5-10 year time span.

I share the sentiment of Eric Sprott in that silver will be the investment of the decade and Gregory Mannarino who states that silver is the most undervalued asset in the history of mankind.

Oh, I'd have to say it all started when I heard about the impending US dollar collapse. And that precious metals would save you from it. But, I sort of do it as a hobby and investment at the same time. Who knows what will happen in the near future.

I stack for the same reason that a lot of people do a lot of things... "Because I can."

You seem to be obsessed with that impending collapse of the US dollar thing. You might be right and it could conceivably happen but... It just might not get around to happening in your life or the lives of your children or grandchildren or their children, either. If you base your mindset+world view and plan+conduct your life based on the certain imminence of that collapse, you may find yourself out of touch and out of sync with the day-to-day realities of how things are going.

But, as always... "To each his own..." We all make our own decisions, pick our own routes and travel our own paths. Best of luck with yours.

It's a better place to park spare cash than the pub.

Too bloody right. I used to be a big drinker and enjoyed a gamble at the pub, its been several years since I have done either except for the odd game of poker. Not drinking and gambling has been the key to my entire stack, and probably my relationship.

You can buy something nice and not feel like your spending money and hopefully make a buck or two.

To me it is a combination of the following
A form of storing wealth over a long period of time
May appreciate in value against paper/electronic money or other assets/items of value at some point in time.
The conspiracy/doomsday nuts got me started. It might come in handy if the financial system freezes up :D
It can't hurt to have another tool in the financial toolkit
If considered a form of wealth or currency or money, it is more satisfying to hold/touch/see than looking at a bank statement

Having said that, I'm only just getting started

I do it instead of blowing all my money at the pokies, gambling, nightclubs and pubs. Also it is a wonderful hobby and you get to make many new friends and meet interesting people.

A constructive addiction. Most addictions leave you broke but with this one you have something to show for it and potentially can do very well in the future. I like to buy semi-numismatic silver coins for near as possible to spot price and then have the potential to sell again for way higher than spot price later. For example, timberwolf coin. They sell for $50 plus on ebay although spot is at low 20s. When they were issued it was just as a normal bullion coin. So that is the way I see it as a bit of a hobby! Trying to pick which coins / series will potentially go up in value and avoiding the duds.
