BullionBourse has just gotten back to me with

"We just got them in today. They are round capsules. What I've now been told is that the Mint didn't reach the 300,000 mintage in 1992 and have started re-minting them."

So basically what we here on this thread have deducted via our collective thinking.

:( I am still happy with my purchase, but offer my apologies to any who followed on my recommendation and now regret it

Haven't had a chance to follow this up - but what Bullion Bourse are reporting matches what I was told.

Not really... poor form Perth mint, certainly press release material. RCM wildlife with milk spots look a little bit more attractive by the day

It shouldnt of been expected but those Savvy industry experts could see this move coming or something like it (maybe a 98?). the 97 remint was a def tip-off, i mean sure their law/rule meant that technically they could revisit any earlier date and continue the mint run until the 300k limit is reached.. but ACTUALLY DOING IT.. and going back to 92 is indicative and suggestive that the whole lot are going to get revisited diminishing any numismatic worth of each (thanks for that).

so yes, its just the decision to actually do it that has hit me hardest, but its fair to say i now know what kind of creature the Perth Mint is.

Substitute Ford for Kookaburra Numismatic Premiums and Wa-La!

    Three Strikes and your out!

Mintage limits? 300,000 for the Lunars. Which have all already been met in Series 2.

Of course, sticking a privy on it does change things a bit :/

The value of all kooks, any year have just gone down. I personally not buying any older kooks based on the off chance they will re-mint them

perthmint have just lost what little credibility they had.

Like I said, with Perth mints recent track record it's no surprise.
Premiums on older KoOks now in free fall.
Between the re-minting of the mouse, the extra 200'000 crappy dragons and now the reminting of the kooks Im looking at big losses in the value of my stack. What next, 500'000 series 2 Ox with a pissy little privy? Why not a 2oz S1 set with a dragon privy?
I was warned not to get caught up in numis but I didn't think re-minting 20 year old coins would be the reason they cost me money.
That guy is on the money, milky RCM wildlife coins are looking good.

So all the Kooks are off my ebay watch list, the price means nothing.
Now I'll just sit back and see what years get reminted to compleat my collection.
Oh well theres still the carded Kangaroos, anyone got a 2007 Roo they want to part with. :p

As an aside, BullionBourse have not got back to me in response to my email of 6 April asking a question about all this and some gold I bought from them. First time I have dealt with them. Will be the last I expect based on this rapid response. I know Easter was in the middle of all this, but I had to pay straight away so why can't they respond reasonably quickly?? They've now had 2 full business days to reply to me. Really not impressed at all - based on the apparent good experiences of others in here I thought they'd be ok. If I could get my money back I'd cancel all my orders with them.
