The 5oz Taku looks really good,
Wish that they release different design every year

    5oz come in capsules,

    The 1oz do not,

Nice coins, although I prefer the 1oz,

All i can find are the ungilded 1 oz, and the prices people are charging for any of the others compared to my 22 silver 1 oz keepsme buying the plain ones (although they are gorgeous)

Lol.. proberbly cos Canadains are to busy buying those awesome ASE's and Maples... ( i kid)

nah id say 5k is about right.. its a very under the radar set and aside from aussies, some kiwis and some europeans.. most of the world only knows there own issues and think they are superior to the rest of the worlds.. ie: USA and Canada.

But yeah 5K mintage next to the 2011 Maple or Eagle (in the millions +) and i can understand why your doubting it. But id suggest you have it dead around the wrong way..

the market is flooded with them (them being maples and ase's - NOT Taku's)

Lol--funny thing is--I have a few privy maples and 1 hologram ASE---neither of them work for me at all! That's why I'm here with you guys! Seriously--1for1--are you certain of this mintage? I have a chance to grab a bunch right now dirt cheap--if correct--sure something to consider. Do you know mintage of the 5 ozers?

Both 1oz and 5oz Takus are unlimited mintage.

I bought at least 300 x 1oz over the course of 2011, there was no shortage.

They just aren't very commonly found here that's all.

Hi Silvernash, no im not sure at all it just didnt suprised me given they are reletivley unknown and those who did buy proberbly only got a roll or two.

RE: they are unlimited... you know this means nothing right? Unlimited could be 1k or 100 mill.

the 2010 Koala was unlimited and there is under 10k total so unlimited is just a potential rather than a mintage.. given the mint has stopped selling them for over a month or more.. actually more than two months.. id say they will realise the 2012 rather than re-minting 2011's.

I dont know what else to buy at the moment anyway so Takus near spot is a great buy... id buy them if i couldnt wait for the 1/2 and 2 ounce lunar dragons.

RE: Maples and ASE's... good on you my brother.. i started off mainly importing these in from USA until i discovered local bullion and never looked back.

    Cheers mate,

Never thought of it like that about the mintages--good point. I do have some 5 ozers coming which look very nice--can get a roll of 20 for a 10 oz---2-5 ozers+ 2 generic rounds. Hmmmm........
