    VRS,
when you make a post can you please summarise or copy sections of the website and repost here so i can see what it is about instead of having to click on the link to see?
If your summary is interesting then i am more likely to click the link to read it in full.
I tend not to read posts if there is only a link there, it could be a virus for all i know.
    Thanks

As I said to Pelican - Sorry, I don't have time.

If the thread title isn't sufficiently engaging don't click on it.

How much of 'the website' would you like me to copy & paste for you?

Or do you just want me to read it for you?

'I tend not to read posts if there is only a link there, it could be a virus for all I know' says it all really doesn't it lol?!?!?

(Get a MAC - No, not the kind used in inclement weather - the COMPUTER kind - Hey presto - problem SOLVED!)

Yes - that's RIGHT - Don't click on ANY link on SS - or ANYWHERE on the internet... THEY'RE FULL OF VIRUSES!!!! AAAAAARGH!

A tinfoil hat and balloon whisk are on their way to you, from me, so that you may defend yourself from harmful rays and mind-beams directed at you by 'them up there' Buddy ;)

    VRS ;)x

I think that you are being a dick. What a stupid response.
Why is it that the vast majority of others are able to post a hint of the website that is interesting but when you find one that was so good you felt the need to share it with SS members you "don't have time"?
You don't have time yet there have been several posts where you have been reading the original website then copied the link and posted it here.

As if you are that busy. You must be a really important person. If you are why waste your time posting at all.

I asked nicely and get this sarcastic smart arse response.
No i am not paranoid about viruses but made the statement as an example.

    Turkey.

Thanks for your valued comments, er 'Turkey' (what a funny name?!?!)

    Ommmmmmm.... Ommmmmmm.... Ommmmmmm....

    VRS ;)x

ps - 'No i am not paranoid about viruses but made the statement as an example'

Actually you made exactly the same mistake as the Honourable Pelican did this morning. If you'd bothered to read my response to him you might have realised that there was little point in your post, but obviously you didn't bother to do that. So now not only do you want me to read the actual links for you (they aren't 'WEBSITES' Buddy) but you want me to point out what's been said on the thread previously for you as if I'm some kind of frikkin' signpost?!? Don't waste my time - and JUST AS IMPORTANTLY... don't waste yours... for Life is indeed SHORT.

Now, rather than just being offensive for the sake of it and/or entirely lacking any appropo humility in admitting your errant ways via displaying the merest shred of a SOH, please do me a favour & go boil an egg or whatever it is that you do in Newcastle that'll preserve the time-space continuum here in the beautiful micro-cosmos that is SS & which won't result in the Venoozians beaming you up for further tests... ;)

Guess it just comes down to etiquette of forum posting.

If you're posting something, make sure you clearly outline what you are posting, a sentence or the first paragraph from the article should more than suffice.

No there aren't any rules pertaining to that requirement but it'd be nice and you'd be doing your fellow stackers a service which I'm sure I and many others would appreciate.

It might sound snobbish or paranoid but there are many reasons for being unable to view the link (including but not limited to):

    - Work internet filters
    - Time constraints
    - Article might be moved in the future
    - Paranoia ;)
    - Mobile Phone Internet where you really don't want to load another webpage for 5 minutes...

    etc

    Simple.

All of the above, but in my Universe... there ARE no rules... I sincerely do not have the time...

If the thread title doesn't act as a gearbox don't try to engage the cortex... Just move on...

(Remember the little boy who was told NOT TO PRESS THE BIG RED BUTTON?!? lol!)

AND MORE IMPORTANTLY DO NOT PRESUME TO TELL ANYONE HERE WHAT THEY CAN OR CAN'T (OR SHOULD OR SHOULDN'T) DO ;)

Thankyou Fishball - You are obviously from a most erudite section of the galaxy...

    VRS ;)x

"KUALA LUMPUR: Mynet Capital Sdn Bhd (Mynet) has introduced the 'One World 10 Dirham' to encourage the preservation of wealth in the precious metal among Muslims.

The online-based silver and gold bullion trader's executive chairman, Terry Ghani said the dirham, minted in Bolivia, would be the world's only .99999 pure silver dirham to be sold across 25 countries including Malaysia.

"It is the world's first dirham inscribed in English to propagate its knowledge and appreciation amongst the global non-Arab speaking community," he told Bernama in an interview recently.

Wow you must be really busy and have "no time" since that took me all of 10 seconds to do. :p

With all due respect it really is helpful for others if there is a summary.

Absolutely - In fact I'm just about to post another one from dissidentvoice - that is, if I don't let narcissistic self-importance override the innate willingness to share my newsstream unlike those humourless souls who just exist to throw rocks and contribute little except criticism & pointless 'advice'... (present company absolutely excepted of course!) ;)
