Most of the posts here are meaningless junk with people mocking each other. It's as if there's no moderator on this site. You have to sift through piles of this junk to get at any meaningful posts. Am I the only person who feels this way?
LOL. HTFU preciousmetal, this had less slander and junk than a convoy down at the pub. this ain't a childcare centre.
His website has responded: http://goldsilver.com/article/gold-...term=acquire+physical+gold+and+silver+bullion "First the threat of deflation, followed by a helicopter drop, followed by big inflation, followed by real deflation, and then followed by hyperinflation."
to add to that, to make it cut and dry: he does not sell his own silver. he buys from a wholesale dealer when you make a purchase from him.
I'm sure there is little mark-up. The real money's in books, know what I'm sayin? I'm a cheapskate though, I try to watch his free videos for his advice.
If you're successful, people will say you have a vested interest and you're not to be trusted. If you're a bum, people say "why listen to him? He's a loser!" Can't win
I think most people aren't saying that he can't be trusted, just that he and God don't have that burnin bush thing goin on
He HAS a vested interest, successful or not. He sells the books, and he sells the stuff. That's the definition of vested interest. If he was an academic with an independent view that is not associated to a business, then he can be classified as no vested interest. This is not picking on him because he's rich, this is just what the definition is.
Of course he has a vested interest, but note that I said "...and you're not to be trusted". There's a difference between having a vested interest and being trusted, and having one and not. Most people associate having a vested interest - almost automatically - with distrust.
Yes, and it's a good automatic mechanism to have. Scepticism is a good guard against loss. There are some extremely good salesman out there - protect your own interest and aggregate opinions, don't just listen to one.
Agreed. But I happen to think Mr Maloney is genuine. Here is where I draw the line:
