Abbreviations and short forms are very popular here, they are seen as cool. I did some research on the X and found out that it originates from ancient Greek Christianity. So course Christmas isn't just a religious festival. In the West, it probably represents a reunion or new year of sort.

Nope, just somebody who's educated on the origin of the word & the meaning behind it.

I guess they'll either need to educate themselves or remain ignorant & play professional victims.

It is indeed a religious event with a strong focus on family reunion, love and peace. But in the last 2-3 decades it has lost its original meaning.
Commercial movies, extreme liberalism have perverted the meaning of Christmas.

It is completely separate from any "new year philosophy". Christmas doesn't bring any change, it's merely a 2-3 day period which celebrates the birth of Christ, the "king of love" how many priests call him symbolically. Christmas is basically the celebration of Jesus' birth, the founder of Christianity. Otherwise said, Christianity starts with the birth of Jesus Christ.

"X-mas" might be an abbreviation. The "X" might mark symbolize the cross upon which Jesus died, but I'm unsure. Regardless, the "X-mas" term is somewhat degrading, because many consider it some form of "censorship": e.g. communists generally didn't like the word "Christmas" written down (nor liberals nowadays...), so they did everything to put something else in its place.

Major points. The "South African" mutation is causing severe cases in youths without co-morbidities. South African and UK mutants are more virulent. The batman virus has become more potent as it mutates, unlike the natural viruses that usually become less potent as it spreads. MSM had previously been conveying the impression that the batman virus can't mutate that quickly, so another fake news that has been proven wrong.

No more cheap platinum. Opportunity missed. :D

New lock downs in Dalian and Beijing. If you read MSM, you may not even know. Just like Jan 2020.

i don’t think “more potent/deadly” is a hard fact yet. More transmissible makes sense as an evolutionary adaption to social distancing and masks

Agree, this is why I avoided saying it's more "deadly" as I've not seen any info on that yet, probably too early to know, but there's already info that it may cause more severe cases in youths than the old strains.

This new mutation reminds me of the early days - https://www.silverstackers.com/forums/index.php?threads/wuhan-virus-outbreak.94451/

    "Escape from New York"?

New York is physically dead. It seems like nowadays physical centres become less relevant, as a plethora activities move into the digital world.

You might want to move to a rural area and "live well". You can have everything you need.

Could this mean a general collapse of the big cities that are major financial centres?
Automatization could give a punch to the major industrial nests as well.

Physical activities are in decline. I was expecting this to happen to places that host massive office spaces and shopping malls, but it seems like theatres, cinemas, concert halls and physical shops are also getting slammed.

Is Corona igniting a global "Detroitification"?

I saw several films made about this subject. The anti-white racism is a real thing.
It's odd how people think "it's justifiable" because of "what the white man did in South Africa".

Nothing is justified, it's all racism. And there's no such thing as collective guilt. This stands at the roots of nazism.

But for some odd reason, liberals don't want to see this happening. Only white people can be racists.

I saw that video yesterday, was in my youtube stuff.
My daughter-in-law and her family are from S Africa and I can tell you they are sure happy to be in the US now.
They were a well off rural family and didnt have much poverty but they said theres a race war bomb waiting to go off and no place for them to be.
Seems that we have much better race relations here in the states and theres nothing weird like that. Blacks and whites do fine together.......Mexicans and blacks on the other hand, another story.

I dont speak much spanish but I work with some Mexicans and about the biggest insult to them is if I say maybe I should have a black guy come do it for them.
That really gets them going but of course I'm kidding and they know it.

Blacks and Mexicans in the US have their own special kind of love but no one ever talks about that.
To me it seems like two totally different cultures clashing and neither wants to give.
