As a result of the Corona virus pandemic and lockdowns, coffee prices have soared.
Mainstream media explicitly speaks about supply chain interruptions!

Here are parts of the MSN article:

"Coffee prices have rallied over the last month, as global lockdowns fueled panic buying by those stuck at home looking for a caffeine fix, but the outlook for the commodity is far from clear." [...]

    Supply chains disrupted
"On the supply side, lockdowns were impacting the process of getting coffee to consumers, Copestake said, but the product was still being delivered eventually.

“Because coffee is a foodstuff, even if a country is in lockdown, people working in the supply chain are deemed to be essential workers,” he said. “So from a legal perspective, everybody in the supply chain can continue working, can continue picking coffee, milling coffee, processing it, packing it and trucking it.”

Shipping routes had also been disrupted ever since the coronavirus outbreak led to lockdowns in China, where the outbreak began at the end of 2019. And Copestake and Pollard warned that transportation issues may become more of a problem in the long run."[...]

If the coffee supply chain is interrupted, why can't other products suffer the same phenomenon?
Plus: companies are going bankrupt, people end up on the streets... this is leading to something far worse.

A few things I noticed in my area regarding scarcity:
    - many simple tools (including wrenches, screwdrivers, drills etc.) have disappeared or are a bit harder to get
    - certain types of wall paint are hard to find (yes, I started painting around the house...) :)
    - people are buying up small/portable radios: more models are scarce than ever
    - camping equipment is more rare: portable gas stoves, portable kitchenware etc. aren't found in abundance and the selection is surprisingly narrow
    - the price of coffee and chocolate has soared by 20-30%
    - strong alcohol drinks are more expensive (whiskey, vodka etc.)
    - home prices are just slightly going down (3-5 %) and I expect a huge drop after the lockdown is lifted (probably mid-summer?)
    - meat is scarce and not found in a wide variety (like: certain types of meat are hard to get, but usually chicken is relatively easy to find)

There's not enough 5g running to cover the number of infections across the world.

This guy is a fiction writer.

Half the deaths reported never died of the covid. Hospitals are getting paid to report it that way.
There are whistleblowers coming out everywhere now. All fake news.

Nevertheless, 5G is Big Brother's "toy" and it became very urgent to implement it now (while people are "stuck at home").
5G is a powerful monitoring and manipulation (and who knows what else) tool.

    Otherwise totally useless.

    3G is enough :D

Good-old Nouriel with his stronga' Italan accento - watch this video, really useful:

    :D

He say's this is worse than the 2007-2009 recession. Sharp decrease occurred in a matter of weeks, not in a matter of months like it happened in the previous crisis.

    GDP's decreasing, people losing jobs.

He say's it's not a U, not a W, not a U-type decrease, he says it's an I "FREEFALL", it is happening at a speed that did not occur ever before, not even during the "Great Depression". It is a freefall. In 1929 it took 3 years, not 3 weeks for such a fall to happen.

Roubini underlines that this is not a correction.
He doesn't believe that we've reached the bottom. The economy is not going to recover this year.

Roubini expects riots, violence on the streets.

I was talking to one of our Indian SS members just today, and he said they do all of their saving in gold over there. Gold is their cash. The Indian government even pays interest for those who save gold over there using official channels, around 2.5% or so he said.

2.5 % interest on gold bonds. It would be great if they paid interest the mere possession of physical :D

Global economic cataclysm coming - it's happening now, we are in the middle of the storm, that's why no-one is can see it.

THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN! - Dan Peña

The guy is rough, brutal, obscene, but makes a plethora of strong points. Worth listening to him.

    - entire "sections" of the global economy will be wiped out
    - some business owners/specialists will be out of business forever
    - if your work has anything to do with food, travel & tourism, then you're most likely going to be crashed
    - he says "this recovery is going to be L"
    - certain industries will be eliminated forever
    - major airlines are going to go bankrupt, cruise ships will be sold for "scrap metal"
    - billion dollar deals are going to be made in the right businesses, if you find the right opportunities
    - he even talks about 5 $ gold and even negative gold

I listened to him for a couple of hours on Joe Rogan once.

He's adamantly impressed with himself and his opinions that's for sure.

He doesn't have my sympathy because of his aggressive, egoistic self-loving brutalist Machiavellianism.

But, he makes some strong points and he understands the way the economy's clock ticks. Remarkable observations. Very inspiring.

    (Despite his tank-type personality)
