I notice some American Eagles year are written in Roman numerals. My 2010 Eagle is written as 2010. Yet Projacks 2009's are written in Roman Numerals.
Did they change it in 2010 or are they proofs or something?

Current design gold eagles (nest + eagle) minted from 1986-1991 are dated with Roman numerals. From 1992 onwards the dates are in hindu arabic.
Projacks coin on page 1 are ultra high relief double eagles, they are the one off "modern" versions of the pre1933 coins, If you look again they have a different design to the current Gold Eagles.

Nice work intelligencer. Just goes to show the 'wealth-density' of gold. 18 x $200 gold coins, equivalent in fiat to over 7kg of silver.

Anyone seen gold like that form the Perth Mint.
Just am wondering when they were made and if any other variety exists.

    Hi All

I'm new here (just posted in the new here thread). I've got a pretty unusual coin and was wondering what peoples thoughts were on value. I'm pretty sure it's 14 grams but have been unable to find much information about it anywhere. Forgive my terrible photographic skills:

Looks like it's a proof, celebrating the hosting of the 1990 FIFA world cup in Italy. It's 22 karat as you can see by the Au 917. Bullion value about $580 approx. Real value, I don't know as I can't find much about it.
