Wouldn't it make more sense to update your existing threads with a price drop as opposed to creating new ones?
$1670 including registered post. It’s apparently a cooling dimple. Quite common in these bars I’m led to believe.
I think it looks like a drill hole, a cooling dimple would be not on the side of the stamp. I have heard it is pretty much standard procedure in some shops to drill out some, melt it, then hit it with xrf gun, so as to eliminate any thick plated bars getting purchased. As a troy ounce it should weigh 31.1grams. How much does it weigh? my guess is 30g
No need to be angry spannermonkey, everyone is a novice at one time! I have no experience here and just calling it as I see it. I guess they use the hole to get the weight spot on. What would you think if you had never seen a bar with a drill hole in it? Still wanna see one on a scale at 31.1g though. Cooling dimple it is NOT, so after that wrong information, I am understandably thinking that it is being misrepresented. whats this then? https://taxfreegold.co.uk/images/1ouncegoldbarengelhardhardaustralia400.jpg
Here is a clear cooling dimple http://comparebullionsites.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/engelhardgold.jpg I can't find any other images of engelhard 1oz bars showing drill holes, so I am gonna stick to my original "ASS-UMPTION" because logic is the only thing prevails here. It was drilled for assay. And this is why... http://www.silverdoctors.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/fake-gold-2_0.png Buyers are looking for tungsten. Unless anyone can "weigh in" with a better explanation, I am sticking with being an ASS

Off topic eh, well I did ask to see it on scales I don't see how it is off topic. I wont be buying any under weight bars so it is a fair and reasonable request.
