Hi, I happen to have a number of Manchurian coins (I believe they're all Manchurian Chinese coins), but I'm unfamiliar with them, so I can't estimate their worth. I've found a number of coins online that look like mine and values range from 40-50 USD to above 1,000 USD, so the interval is too wide. The coins are not silver, but seem to have traces of rust (probably containing iron?), but have an aluminium-like look. The coins look like some of these on CoinArchive: http://www.coinarchives.com/w/results.php?search=manchurian How much could each one be worth?
I was intrigued by the first 2 coins shown in your picture. On one side is (in English) 'First year of Emperor Hsuan-tung' (Xuantong or better known as the last Qing dynasty Emperor Puyi). But on the other side of the coin, the 4 Chinese characters inside the inner circle said it belong to 'Emperor Guangxu money'! Strange. BTW on the outer circle the words on top are the name of the province that minted them and the below are the face value of '1 Mace 4.4 Candareens 20 Cents'
Strange, I don't know anything about these coins and they aren't silver for sure. They are most probably an alloy containing iron, because of the rusty spots. They are whiter than on the picture, looking a bit like a aluminium, but they're not that soft. I still have no idea what price they're worth... I see that some could be worth 100-800 USD, but I'm not sure if mine are fake or real. Here are some resources depicting similar coins, but most of them are silver: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=sale&sid=666&cid=16817&v=1 http://www.anythinganywhere.com/commerce/coins/coinpics/chin-struck.htm http://www.yscoin.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=43_44_51 What coins are these?
Plenty here, all replica: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/Antique-Silver/925244_506154147.html
^ They are supposed to be "old", but not "ancient". I thought they're colonial currency, so therefore the English writing...
^ Not the entire China, but there were parts of it colonized by various countries. From Germany to Austria-Hungary as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_former_foreign_enclaves_in_China At some point on the internet I've found similar coins depicted as "Manchurian", but right now I'm unsure. They might belong to some colonial area within China. Does anyone know where they originate from? If they're fake, I reckon, they're worth pennies. But are they all fake?
