Looking for what is the most loved item(s) in a S.Stackers stack.

    Gold
These are the last items I would sell (might even pass them on to my kids)

I collect nuggets and unless I can source a nicer one, this would be the last nugget I would sell.

I'd be reluctant to sell this one. I think it was puddleduck flogged it to me here. It's not numismatic, a generic coin, but what a beautifully made lustrous object it is. And fully viewable in its case - "the photo does not do it justice". Most gold looks about as interesting to me as brass buttons, but this is the first one that looked like an obscure object of desire in its own right. The other coin I feel that way about would be the S1 one oz gold snake - full of life that image.

This half Eagle is nearly a 100 years older than yours and I am just as reluctant to sell :)

Spend 7 hours stomping about in the middle of nowhere getting spear grass in your socks, dirt under your manicure and nought but spent shells and brass buttons and I can tell you, there is a difference.

Well you need a Minelab, the subtle and discriminative tool; and yes, Minelab is a subsidiary of the cutting edge ASX listed company Codan (CDA). Codan for all your metal detectionist needs :)

i know its nothing special, but the last things to go out of my stack would be a stack of round 50s i just picked up from my grandfather which he hoarded when he was young, swapping them at the cash register when he was behind the till. after that, all my pre-decimal stuff. especially the early stuff. just cause it would never ever be minted again. i know the kooks, lunars etc also will never be minted the same again, but they are purely bullion for investment in my eyes.

Well it's not really part of my stack but this would be the last coin I'd get rid of. In fact it will have to be forcibly prised from my cold dead fingers.

Somewhere in the low $x,xxx range I guess. Spectacular decimal errors have appreciated nicely in the last few years.

Mine would be a 10oz perth mint bar that i got from a garage sale for 50 cents. The seller thought it was a paper weight. When i told her what it was and what it was worth (dont like to rip un-silver-educated people off) she said i could have it for 50c because of my honesty. I did a specific gravity test on it and it is silver

It rings like no other bar/coin i have ever heard. I strung it up by a piece of cotton and hit it with a screwdriver and timed the ring, it went noticeably for 1m50s. Also it has cooling rings on it from when it was poured. It is the dimention of the current 10oz bars but it does not bulge in the center like the new ones rather its concave like other brand hand poured bars.
