Where does the Mint buy there loot?

    G'day all

    I'm sure this has been asked before but here goes.

    Where do Mints buy there Gold\Silver or what ever from?

    I assume from mining mobs like BHP\Rio, how would they buy it, would it be at current spot, or do they have contracts to supply X amount at this price.
