Oh well, fish, pelican - hard to distinguish, easy mistake! Sorry for the awkward moment! I guess you don't know till you ask, but if it isn't safe......
My bad, I got excited for a second... They are Hereaus, but not the Kinebars I don't think. The UBS on the other hand... tempting... I quite like the UBS silver 100g bits too... Think I know exactly where my tax return is going...
If you click into the listings it says free storage and insurance for a year included - could be a good idea to put aside a few regular purchases and save on postage. Haven't checked postage costs though so don't know if it would make too much difference - would assume so.

Thanks projack, had another look at this site and after doing some more reading, you are correct they do stock kinebars. Kinebar is a gold bar that has a Kinegram applied to it, a high tech optical device designed to indicate authenticity. Developed by some european company. UBS do produce kinebars. http://suissegold.ch/home.php?cat=254
Just been looking through their website. Free secure storage in a Swiss bank vault in Lucerne (that's the town not the horse feed) for 1 year from date of purchase, after that 0.5% of the total market value on account (for gold), fully insured against theft and damage as a result of fire, flooding or explosion, will buy back at spot, free international delivery if order is over 10000 Swiss Francs. Mmmmm, sounds like an option for a SMSF. 1oz Pamps, AU$1,474.63 add a bit in cost for currency conversion use OzForex "No fee if it's over 10G" (I'll copyright that little rhyme), very nice. And because it's stored in Switzerland, you are spreading your risk.
Did anyone end up ordering from Suisse Gold? Or intending to? See below for update. If you are intending to in the future please note that the postage seems to have changed to a base amount plus a per gram allowance. That in itself isn't too bad, but it does state that Aust is only via Fed Ex or UPS and that costs $100 from 1 gram to 10 kg. Also $1000 USD minimum. I tried to copy it here but couldn't invoke enough technical neurons to get it from there to here. I have confirmed that all this is true (via email) because it is too expensive to send to AU. Living at the bottom of the world has some disadvantages. Sorry - tried to retitle the thread to something about Suisse Gold but coldn't do that either! If anyone else can it would probably be useful for later if anyone searches for that dealer.
Yeh I did. But keeping it in storage there. I have no intention of bringing it to Australia, will sell it over there - (looks around suspiciously for gov agents), will go to it if things don't turn out too well here. Seriuosly doubt the latter though.
Thanks for the info. Seems like a viable option and one worth thinking about given the postage issue.
