yeah its been on and off here all day, but yeah i think the jist of what there saying is is that its gonna be non stop tomorrow and monday. putting out preemptive flood warnings and stuff for the past few days.

its like one extreme to the other. the last few months its been drought pretty much and now we're about to potentially get flooded.

The local BOM page is my homepage, it has a thing you click on called "interactive forecast maps". have a play with that, you can select 2 or 3 day for the States, and up to 7 days for Australia, it's obvious that 4 or more days out is just guesswork, but it may help you to prepare.

Big tip: If you are sorting through your Cyclone Emergency (or any emergency kit for that matter) on your verandah, make sure you put the lid back on it and store it away inside before the bad weather hits. :(

Funny thing is... it was the Australia Day Week End 2012 when we flooded last time...

yeah i remember that last year.
if it gets too bad ill likely have to go down to my parents farm to help out. usually have to move the pontoon to the other side of the river so that it wont rise up with the flood water and then when it finally recedes end up sitting on a post and putting a hole in the bottom of it or something.

Not looking good for this year either, the LLC is still centered over Taroom /Gayndah area in QLD http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR081.loop.shtml and is still slow moving so there is a few days yet before the worst has passed for that and your part of Aus .

This is the expected rainfall total for the next 180 hrs for NSW :( http://forecasts.bsch.au.com/apf.html?region=nsw&start=1&stop=8&gribdate=2013012606&chart_mode=

Lol just a bit of a hobby M8, it's good to know a few days before the sheeple if things could go bad weatherwise and then watch them all run around like headless chooks.

Here's a cool colour infrared image map http://www.goes.noaa.gov/sohemi/sohemiloops/shirgmscol.html you can zoom and scroll around , the directory for the sat images here with water vapour and different vectors http://www.goes.noaa.gov/sohemi/

Check the action up in the GoC earlier today , looks like someone laid down a napalm attack http://realtime2.bsch.au.com/vis_sa...f&loop=yes&images=17&allday=&start=&stop=#nav

"A sixth tornado has hit Queensland's Bundaberg region and forecasters say more could develop, including over Brisbane, as the day wears on."

Oh yay. Should test out the shadehouse I erected last year. :(

    hows everybody holding up?
the heavy rain has set in here. not a fun experience driving on the highway through it. dams at the farm still have barely any water in them and i checked up the river and the water wasnt even up yet so no signs of a flood yet.

Persisting down here in Brisneyland. A real shame as I'd have loved to have gone on a long ride today (or tomorrow).

Just went into town - more water around than I thought.
The paddocks are starting to fill with water and creep over the road - the river is rising, and it's belting down.
Everything is poised for flooding - just depends how much rain falls now.
