    hey got my guilded draggies from prospect, the claws are silver, I am sure I read someone asking this question if the claws are guilded or not?

    got my gilded and must admit that I didn't really take a close look at the claws. Got colored as well. Still waiting on my delivery though from the Perth Mint.

    Thge claws of the dragon appear to be gilded and the circle of gold around the outside is not on the 1oz gilded version. I think this may be an after market gilded coin. I can't be certain but I have seen no mention of any official 1/2 oz gilded coins.

    Anybody know for sure?

    I mean it was a regular 1/2 oz silver and the gold was added after release from the mint. I have seen this done before with coins being sold in Europe.

    i sent them a message asking if it was aftermarket gilding and this was their reply:


    Hi
    Its the real coins that have been gilded in 24K Gold
    in the UK not by the mint as the mint does not release
    their 1/2 ounce coin series gilded only their 1Oz,
    why i don't know?

    Just checked Perth Mint site. They have another 22.. now 21 1oz coloured proofs up for some reason! And only $107.. Still only one per person.. has anybody managed to order more than one or are they very strict with it?

    I tried to order a coloured dragon 3 times today but got stuck in the billing section. They kept telling me to "update my details" but there was nothing I could do to update or get through to next screen. So frustrating. Tried again 10 minutes later and they were GONE! Seems to be an ongoing theme with the Perth Mint Website.

    Anyone who wants one, the coloreds are back for sale on Perth Mint website (both sizes). Successfully ordered one of each, now just have to hope they will be delivered!

    I'm still waiting for my colored dragons. I ordered them the day they were released, still waiting... BTW the gem 1kg is selling for $1980 at bullion bourse but I guess you have to pay for shipping. :p
