Hi all, Newbie here. Been watching the trade forum, what's 'buzz' and 'bump'? And why do people have to post that they've sent PM? wouldn't the seller get the PM anyway? Sorry for the trivial question, i just don't get it Loving this forum btw, lots of actions!
Hey mate, welcome to the forum, someone who can type quicker than me will probably answer your questions shortly. If not I'll do my best.
Bump - A common terminology used to move a post to the top of the section, I use this a fair bit when my sales get flooded by other sales. More eyeballs = faster sales. Buzz - Hitting the buzzer I guess, like those crappy TV shows where you 'buzz' if you know the answer, in this case they want the purchase
BUZZ ... its mine BUMP... still up for sale PM sent... a msg to the other forumites that an offer has been made and welcome
buzz simply means they are making a intent to purchase, for the purpose of notifying the seller / other potential buyers they got in first. "PM sent" i guess holds the same purpose, and also for the seller to check their inbox as sometimes PMs dont get through for some reason. bump is simply a post to push a tread up in the recent posts list.
PM - you send a personal message to someone exchanging intimate personal details about transactions and other fetishes. Just click on "PM" under the avatar of the person you wish to message and you type away. So if you want to buy something you see traded, you might post "PM sent" in the relevant forum and then click on PM to send them a message. If this is your first on-line forum you've been involved with you will find that you get the hang of it eventually, after many dirty posts putting you in your place. It's a bit like being the newest chook in the run. The "young people" seem to have been born with an innate ability to function in forum-world.
feel free to replace "buzz" with other words. Latest trend shows it to be 'BITE' maybe something along the lines of 'SHOTGUN' or primary school fav 'DIBS'
Thanks everyone! And what's with the different status? I saw 'new member', 'member+', 'stacker' etc.?
I'm kidding with ya Most people refer 'lol' as laugh out loud. However league of legends is an actual game, a crap one but it's a game
Fishball - do you mean to say that you thought that 'Sale of the Century', 'Family Fued' and other such buzzer games were crappy? They were the sign of the times. If only they had them now i might actually watch TV.........
