This was dealt with a long time ago, so I did a search but couldn't find my answer. When editing a post, how do you create a line through existing characters (intention is to show what the original characters were, draw a line through them, then type in your updated characters alongside the ruled-through characters)? Hope you can decipher what I'm asking for, anyone able to help?
Thanks from me too Whinfell. All along I have been thinking there must be some hi tek SS posters on this forum but you learn something every day. Nearly the same as Word Perfect. Thanks M8.. Will be trying out my new knowledge soon, Regards Errol 43
Test 1 (b) press enter nothing happens? Trying to bold text ( u ) Silver Stackers... Silver ( u ) Silver Stackers Now every time I text Stackers I get it underline. I need some fine tuning.. Are the brackets different? Regard Errol 43 When I submit and look at post underline in red gone..Why? Go to edit the red line is back.
Say I wanted to bold the word Magnificent. I would type the following .... left-hand square bracket (that should be next to "p" on your keyboard). b (the letter "b") right-hand square bracket (that should be the second one along from "p" on our keyboard). Magnificent (that is the word we want to appear as bold). left-hand square bracket / (a right slash, should be next to your "Shift" Key on your keyboard) b (the letter "b") right-hand square bracket When you have done that it does not show the word Magnificent in bold until you have actually submitted your post. You can bold a whole sentence if you wanted to, but you do not have to do the bold command for every word, just do it at the beginning of the first word and the end of the last word you want to bold.
You can also highlight the word/s you want to bold and just click the "B" button shown in the menu line above your message field. Same applies for underline, just highlight the word/s and click "U" up the top menu line.
Another way is to press 'quote' on the posts above and it'll show you what they've done to embolden, highlight etc
