    .... to buy Gold!

I'm pretty small time, and only have a bit of fractional stuff, but honestly, I always catch myself sitting here thinking and juggling the thoughts in my head that maybe if I wait another day or two, I'll be able to save another $100-$200 on just pulling the trigger on the pretty 1oz PAMP bar I want!

    Halp?

Pamps seem like an expensive way into gold. I only really have sovereigns, less premium.

Of course you could stack up on silver and then swap it when the gold to silver ratio makes it worthwhile

I do agree that PAMPs are a bit expensive, but I am a sucker for them. Already have a bit of PAMP silver - just so pretty.

I buy premium gold, that includes PAMP of course.

My take: If you're gonna "hold forever" it may as well look pretty. ;)

Gonna wait until Helicopter Bens speech before I buy more.

What would you prefer, paper or GOLD!

    There's no convincing necessary!

    Gold is so addictive...

Have brought Pamps for spot, but rarely buy fractional's for spot.
Easy to liquidate for a high premium 17% common compared to average of 10% for 1 oz pamp's

So you think getting PAMP at 5-6% premium is fairly good?

I'm thinking getting a few fractional world gold coins instead of the PAMP might be better. :)

Not a believer in 1 oz gold anything,it limits your liquidating position
Like trying to sell a 6 Bedroom house as compared to a 3 Bedroom house which has a larger market appeal in any market.
Sorry i didn't make myself clear before-forget the percentages 100 people can buy a 1/10 oz gold coin, only 10 people can buy a 1 oz coin.
But its all still gold-isn't it?

Oh man, where do I begin? :D

    1. Beauty
    2. History
    3. Liquidity
    4. It actually looks like money should.
    5. Now I'll just repeat myself using other descriptors
    6. Collector value
    7. Proven products that have stood the test of time
    8. Cheap
    9. In demand all the time for a variety of reasons.
    10. A large proportion of stackers on this forum buy gold coins in preference to fractional bars for all and more reasons than above.

    Hope that helps RM

You need to hold them to appreciate them.

They're really good. Phils, AGEs and Pandas are my favorite frac gold coins.

I have a liking towards Ducats and Sovs but they're second class compared to those 3

for low premium fracs, go for sovereigns or the sometimes fire sale 1/10.

The olympic coins are no longer popular but they are 10g of gold, also fractional. Low premium nowadays.

$200 coin also a good way to stack, sometimes sold here below spot and has a high face value.

Don't read this RM! (Psssst everybody, he's coming around)

In all honesty RM, I am of the opinion that coins are the way to go. Hope all of our opinions help and don't add to the confusion.

I guess I should be going for liquidity here, at the end of the day I do want to be able to sell these when I need to!
I'll probably get my PAMP fix in 5g or 10g size, but then diversify it a bit with some coins.

Appreciate all your opinions though - always welcomed.
