Just hoping for some muppet to come along and buy it... worth a try i guess. Personally, I'd rather get a fresh '91 kook for a few more bucks

a lot of coins from that era got remelted, after the strike and our mini depression about to hit. 1983 20c, is a prime example. Ram states full mintage yet most where melted down.

i still can't quite understand the point in slabbing even a kookaburra or any other bullion coin. FFS i think some people are just bored.

Slabbing does allow you the ability to easily enjoy your coin without endangering it.

Keeps your coin safe from fingerprints, humidity, knocks, etc.

So does a Perth mint capsule. Bullion coins are no less scarce than timezone tokens.

There is nothing wrong in protecting high end coins via slabs, but low value coins dont make sense. Slabbing costs in the US can be as low as $8 per coin, pretty cheap insurance for preservation
I have about 300 slabbed by PCGS ANACS and NGC,dont mind the kids looking at them, saves cracking a tube to let them all get scratched and breathed upon

Yeah, but the slab protects the coin from people opening the capsules, humidity, etc.

I suppose the 50cent piece is very dear to that person :)
