Are you buying it as a silver investment or numismatic?

    Welcome to the forum BTW.

If you a investor stay far away from nice looking coins.

When you need to sell them one day, you may become emotionally attached.haha

Iam investor/collector/small trade to the gift market.
10 oz bars get stacked, small bars and coins i trade with. The more generic the better with no face value. When i do purchase coins they are bought for on selling.
A lot of premium silver around, its all very nice, but the premium will be hard hit if the market drops out, (dont see that happening for a while).
That said tho, some coins can fetch really good $$ you just need to know the market.
I find that both investment and collecting is just heaps of fun,the more you get into it, the more you learn.
Last year i pulled paper out of the market and put it into bullion, i actually feel like i have invested in something!

I bought a 1 kg gem just for me as I like the look of them. I must say i was very disappointed with mine. A couple of dents in the rim and just looked a little shabby.I was even more pissed off when i discovered they had printed another 500 but without the gem. So a smaller run without the gem at a little less asking price.

Yep PM really disappointed a lot of people with these - especially the Chinese buyers - they should've sorted the QC & presentation box out properly and spent the time to make it a real premium coin - One ruby? What was that about? Cost saving measure? Disaster more like IMHO. If its for investment stick with bricks or the bu 1kg drag 4 sure ;)

I am sorry you are both unhappy with the gem coin ruby is expensive and there are different grades not that I know what grade these are maybe you should put this to PM and I am sure that if one was damaged they would replace the coin. I am happy with mine although I am not expert.:)
