Just a thought... A few people have mentioned about reviving dead trade threads. I've just had one of mine resurrected and was wondering if it would be possible for the writer of a trade thread to be able to lock it after completing business? That way no-one can keep it up, and also seeing the silver text will point to the fact its sold/withdrawn/completed. Don't know how implementable such a thing is, but it sure would be good. Any thoughts? RD
+9001. Luckily most people aren't idiots that keep bumping dead threads. Curse the people who feel the need to bump dead threads with stuff like "oh I missed this" or "why'd you delete the prices". <hijack> Oh and it'd be nice to be able to see past the first page of trade feedback </hijack>
It is giving someone mod rights, but I'm only wondering if thats possible for granting in their own trade thread only. It's an interesting question, I wonder what El Presidente has to say...
Fine fine Yeah I don't wanna annoy GP every time a thread needs to be locked, I only use report for spam removal. Most sensible members tend to PM me asking if my stuff is still for sale as opposed to bumping the dead thread though. Props to them.
Using the Report feature is fine for now - I'm investigating "self-moderating" options for letting the OP lock or remove their own trading threads.
